These Author Terms outline the responsibilities, rights, and obligations of authors ("you," "your") who upload, sell, or distribute content ("Products") on the MyUnityCodes platform. By becoming an author, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not participate as an author on the platform.
1. Author Account Requirements
1.1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during account registration.
1.2. Account Responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Activities conducted through your account are your responsibility.
2. Content Submission
2.1. Original Work
- All Products submitted must be your original work or properly licensed content.
- You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and sell the content.
2.2. Prohibited Content
You may not submit Products that:
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful components.
- Promote hate speech, violence, or illegal activities.
2.3. Compliance with Guidelines
All submissions must adhere to MyUnityCodes' content guidelines and quality standards.
2.4. Approval Process
- Products are subject to review and approval by our team.
- We reserve the right to reject or remove Products that do not meet our standards.
3. License to Distribute
By uploading Products to MyUnityCodes, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to:
- Distribute, market, and sell your Products to users.
- Use your Products, trademarks, and branding for promotional purposes.
This license is valid until the Product is removed from the platform, subject to Section 9 (Termination).
4. Pricing and Payments
4.1. Pricing
- You may set the price for your Products within the parameters defined by MyUnityCodes.
- We reserve the right to suggest pricing adjustments based on market trends and demand.
4.2. Revenue Share
- You will receive a percentage of each sale as specified in your account dashboard.
- The platform retains a commission to cover operational costs.
4.3. Payment Schedule
- Payouts are processed monthly, typically within 15 days of the end of the month.
- Minimum payout thresholds may apply.
4.4. Taxes
- You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes applicable to your earnings.
- MyUnityCodes may deduct taxes as required by local regulations.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1. Ownership
You retain ownership of the Products you upload to the platform.
5.2. Infringement Claims
- You are responsible for ensuring that your Products do not infringe on the rights of others.
- If a valid infringement claim is made, we may remove the Product and suspend your account.
6. Customer Support and Updates
6.1. Support Obligations
- You are responsible for providing reasonable support for your Products.
- Unresolved customer complaints may result in penalties or removal of your Products.
6.2. Product Updates
- You are encouraged to provide updates to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Failure to maintain Products may lead to their removal from the platform.
7. Refunds and Chargebacks
7.1. Refund Policy
Refunds are handled in accordance with MyUnityCodes' Refund Policy.
- Refunds may be issued for defective or misrepresented Products.
- Refund amounts will be deducted from your earnings.
7.2. Chargebacks
Chargeback disputes will be handled by MyUnityCodes, and any associated costs may be deducted from your earnings.
8. Platform Policies and Compliance
8.1. Adherence to Terms
You must comply with all policies, including the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and these Author Terms.
8.2. Prohibited Actions
You may not:
- Engage in fraudulent activities, such as artificially inflating sales.
- Circumvent platform fees or engage in off-platform transactions.
- Use bots, scripts, or unauthorized tools to manipulate the platform.
9. Termination
9.1. Voluntary Termination
You may terminate your author account at any time by providing written notice.
9.2. Involuntary Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms or any platform policies.
- Engage in unlawful or fraudulent activities.
9.3. Effect of Termination
- Upon termination, your Products will be removed from the platform.
- Pending earnings will be processed according to the payment schedule.
10. Liability and Indemnification
10.1. Limitation of Liability
MyUnityCodes is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your participation as an author.
10.2. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyUnityCodes, its affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your Products or activities on the platform.
11. Changes to Author Terms
We reserve the right to update these Author Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or platform notifications, and continued participation as an author signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
